Cisco AnyConnect provides persistent corporate access for users on the go by delivering reliable encrypted network connectivity to business email, virtual desktop sessions, or most other iOS applications that require business-critical application connectivity.
Through the use of Datagram Transport Layer Security (DTLS), TCP-based applications and latency-sensitive traffic such as voice over IP [VoIP] are provided an optimized communication path to corporate resources.
Additionally, any connect supports IPsec IKEv2 with Next Generation Encryption which ensures secure communication between devices even when they are connected to public networks like Wi-Fi hotspots in cafes or airports etc.,
The software automatically adapts its tunneling to the most efficient method possible based on network constraints, using TLS and DTLS. DTLS provides an optimized connection for TCP-based application access and latency-sensitive traffic, such as VoIP traffic.
Network roaming capability allows connectivity to resume seamlessly after IP address change, loss of connectivity, or device standby.
Wide Range of Authentication Options:
AnyConnect supports a wide range of authentication options including RADIUS, RSA SecurID, Active Directory/Kerberos, Digital Certificates and LDAP. It also supports multifactor authentication which ensures that only authorized users can access the network resources.
Supports certificate deployment using Apple iOS and AnyConnect integrated SCEP. This feature makes it easy for administrators to deploy certificates to devices without having to manually install them on each device.
Compatible with Apple iOS Connect On Demand VPN capability for automatic VPN connections when required by an application. Policies can be preconfigured or configured locally and can be automatically updated from the VPN headend.
Access to internal IPv4 and IPv6 network resources is provided by AnyConnect which ensures that users have seamless access to all the resources they need while on the go.
Administrator-controlled split / full tunneling network access policy allows administrators to control how much bandwidth is allocated for different applications based on their priority level. This feature helps in optimizing bandwidth usage while ensuring that business-critical applications get priority over other applications running on the same device.
If you are an end-user and have any issues or concerns regarding this software please contact your organization's support department. If you are a System Administrator having difficulties configuring or utilizing the Application please contact your designated support point of contact.

Cisco AnyConnect is an app designed to let you connect securely to VPNs. This is an app for enterprise users who need a secure way to connect to a VPN at their place of work. Coming from a trusted name like Cisco, the app provides a level of safety and security that should be welcome by those who have need of such an app.
Built-in help: The built-in help within the application is quite useful. A small icon in the bottom right-hand corner of a given screen will pull up an explanation of the menu items. This is helpful for people who might need to use a VPN but who aren't as technically experienced. The help feature is comprehensive and easy to access, which is always welcome in advanced applications.
Setup ease: Connecting to a VPN was very straightforward, and worked the first time with no glitches. As long as you have the server address, username, and password you should have no problems connecting to your network.
Smooth performance: The app connected seamlessly to the test VPN, and provided smooth and reliable performance. There was no drop-off in speed or responsiveness as can sometimes happen when connecting to a VPN.
Bare-bones design: Although we realize this is an enterprise app, it appears as if very little thought at all went into the design. The app's interface is just a series of buttons and text boxes and doesn't look all that different from the built-in settings pages of iOS, except with a different color scheme. A little more design consideration might have been welcome.
At the end of the day, if you need a secure way to access your work VPN from your iPhone, Cisco AnyConnect is probably a worthwhile option. It is easy to set up and provides a fast and reliable connection. The design is minimal, but the app certainly functions as advertised.
