Disconnect is an excellent privacy application that prevents personal data from falling into the wrong hands. This program can speed up your computer while also cleaning up your browser's display at the same time, and it is easy to realize that Disconnect definitely surpasses its competitors.
Pros
Clean, informative design: Disconnect's menu system is organized to highlight who is tracking you and which sector each tracker is from. We find it honest and helpful that this program includes performance monitors, like speed and bandwidth monitoring, which state if Disconnect is having a positive or negative impact on your browser.
Incredibly powerful: We found Disconnect to excel at blocking content and increasing your browser's performance, with our average speed increasing by more than 10 percent. Disconnect usually beat similar applications during tests, and we enjoyed that ads were also hidden as a side effect of Disconnect's blocking.
Cons
Broken websites: Approximately 5 percent of all websites loaded with significant display errors during our tests. These broken websites are a result of Disconnect's blocking abilities and can be repaired quite easily; however, we still see this downside as a moderate inconvenience because it is unintended.
Miscategorized trackers: Third-party trackers are routinely placed into the wrong sections of Disconnect, meaning we found advertising clients located under the social networking tab. This only becomes an issue when trying to unblock content so should not be a significant concern.
