Description
The Nursing Mama app was created to help mothers be successful in breastfeeding. It provides resources and support in learning about breastfeeding in preparation for a new baby, as well as the most common challenges that mothers face when breastfeeding throughout a baby's first year of life. The app features include:
-Education
o Common breastfeeding goals, tips, and common challenges are outlined by time period from prenatal to two months after birth. Each section provides information about what to expect and how to deal with common challenges during that period of Mom's pregnancy or Baby's life.
- Videos
o There are many breastfeeding videos available online. The Nursing Mama "Video" page organizes links to online videos by common breastfeeding topics for quick access.
- Resources
o The resource page provides links to additional information developed specifically by the Nursing Mama team. The links will take you to a printable one-page document on each topic.
- Tracker
o It's important to keep track of Baby's feeds, pees, and poops, as this is one of the most important ways to know how well the breastfeeding is going. Nursing Mama includes a tracker for Mom, or another one of Baby's caregivers, to record feeds, pees, and poops in the app.
