Art, travel, interiors and the designers own stylish parents are inspirations for the collection.
Based in California, the company launched in 1997 with a boutique in Artesias iconic Little India. The brands high quality and classic aesthetic resonated with tastemakers from the very beginning.
The brand has been recognized by the fashion industry as introducing South Asian luxury apparel to mainstream America. Dressing some of Hollywoods most talented and beautiful people, Mirage Collection has been worn by celebrities such as Madonna, Halle Berry, Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Anniston and CCH Pounder. Mirage Collection has also been worn on the red carpets of the Academy Awards, Oscars and Golden Globe Awards.
Social responsibility is an integral part of the company. In 2012, Samar Bashir launched a fair trade initiative to support the economic empowerment of artisans and their families in Pakistan. Through loans, mentorship and education, the initiative invests in the success and sustainability of artisans and their communities.
