PLibrary

Description

Personal Library (PLibrary) is an application to manage all

your files from hard disks in different computers, U-disks, portable

disks, CDs, DVDs, and blue CDs in a central place. It imports file

information into one database and provide an easy way to manage the

file information, just like they are in one disk only. It consists of

following two libraries.

[Disk & CD library] is the collection of file information

imported from various disks. They are readable and is for searching

with easy or advanced search options, even though the U-disks,

portable disks, and CDs are not with you. You start a search after

selecting some disks and folders and one search could be done on

these disks and folders. You may also open the file from the search

results by one click only or open the folder the file located in

Windows Explorer.

[Archive library] is readable and writable. You may copy and

paste important file from [Disk & CD library] to favorite folder in

[Archive library] to give you a tool to classify the files in a

different way. You may add and edit comments or URL address for the

favorite files. You may also create URL bookmark and memorandum

independently, which supports AES encryption for comments message

It is also tight security. Firstly, you may avoid to import sensible

files by putting them in hidden folders. Secondly, you may delete the

imported sensible file information from the database after importing.

Thirdly, you may mark files as hidden in PLibrary and configure

PLibrary to show or not show the hidden information. Finally, you may

encrypt your sensible message in memorandum.

It is extensible. You may add more file icons in PLibrary/icon

folder or add more language files in PLibrary/lang folder other than

English and Chinese.
