With additional functions across a number of platforms, including smartphones, Sleipnir for Mac is a useful browser that provides a better Internet experience. This include features for touch gestures and better menus for favorite pages and tabs, among others.
After a quick download, the free program opens up to a Web page that explains some of its more popular features. The first of these is a link to cloud services, which allows sharing to other devices, from laptops to smartphones. While most newer Mac laptops have support for gestures, the browser allows a swipe movement to quickly change tabs and open windows, which works well. The browser's overall interface is also fresh, with a top row of mini windows showing the available tabs. Clicking the Web address in the upper right of the application also drops down the traditional URL bar. After entering an address, the bar disappears, which is a better option than having the bar always present, as in most other browsers. Traditional functions also work as expected, such as favorites and bookmarks. Sleipnir for Mac renders pages well without any glitches, and the default settings also display them at appropriate sizes.
