Generate random words and names!
This app generates random words letter-by-letter based on how often each letter appeared after the last three letters generated. For instance, if the generator has generated the letters T-I-O, it is likely to pick N for the next letter, because T-I-O-N appears commonly in dictionary words.
This generator can use lists of names for source data as well as dictionary words. There are currently six data sources you can generate words from:
Dictionary, based on British National Corpus
First Name, based on most common male and female first names in 1990 US census
Male First Name, a subset of First Name
Female First Name, a subset of First Name
Last Name, based on most common last names in 1990 US Census
Fantasy Name, based on names in the Dungeons & Dragons 5e books, as well as Lord of the Rings characters. This generator lets words on the list through.
