This application lets you easily adjust numerous Windows settings, but it lacks security features to prevent changes to your configurations. RESTrick Control Panel's small, tabbed interface neatly displays sections of your computer, including Explorer, My Computer, Control Panel, and Desktop. The program gives you full control over your system, from changing sizes and hiding icons to disabling programs. A simple check box allows your changes to take effect. System administrators can control access to network paths and file sharing. Novice users will have to blindly learn to configure some settings such as the File and Printer Sharing feature and Network paths since there isn't a help file. Unfortunately, RESTrick Control Panel lacks password-protection features common to this type of program to prevent unauthorized modifications. System administrators won't be happy with this application's insufficient security measures, but those who don't mind that will find it useful.
