Bedside enables the clinician to take the Electronic Patient Record to the patient in a hospital bed, out in a community setting or at the patient's home. The app connects securely to a MAXIMS clinical system to provide access to a list of the clinician's current patients together with their:- demographic details;- clinical history;- alerts;- allergies;- vital signs - review and record temperature, pulse and systolic / diastolic blood pressure;- investigation results from pathology and radiology labs.Bedside uses Apple's notification service to alert the user when the patient details change, such as when an important pathology result is available.The app is free and operates on both the iPad and iPhone. It can be used to demonstrate the capability of truly portable patient records. When used with a MAXIMS clinical system it provides secure access to the electronic records of a clinician's patients.
