Description
Wordfix is an engaging quiz app to help children better understand word formation and extend their vocabulary with a fun spin-and-shake interface. It's a great game to encourage children to explore how different words can be made and meanings radically altered by adding a few letters to the beginning or ends of words. Wordfix tests childrens knowledge of word suffixes and prefixes by displaying a static, core word and asking the player to spin to view a selection of prefix and suffix options, placed either side of that word. The objective is to select the correct prefix or suffix (or both) for that word to win a point. Then they simply shake the device to begin again.Wordfix is aligned with the national curriculum for English and the tactile, interactivity of the iPhone/iPad screen makes it a fun way for children to consolidate their in-class learning.
