Description
Functional for Mac OS X is a collection of utilities bringing the basic Mac OS X functions from the Apple menu to your Dock. It is the spiritual companion of 'Hypnotize'.
Add the Functional folder as a stack to the Dock, and Logging Out, Restarting, Shutting Down or Sleeping your Mac will be just a mouse-click away. As with 'Hypnotize', Functional only force quits Safari preventing the loss of your valuable work in other applications.

Functional for Mac streamlines access to certain functions, such as shutdown and restart, but offers little to appeal to most Mac users.
The installation folder of Functional for Mac contains a readme file with basic setup and user instructions, the application, and a link to more free apps available from the developer. By simply dragging the application's icon to the Dock you will complete the installation. The program has a basic function. Once installed in the Mac's Dock, the application allows the user to initiate log out, restart, shut down, and sleep, with one click. This saves a few steps from the normal procedure of accessing the Apple drop-down menu. The program has no additional features or options. While there is a step or two saved, the application's utility is limited, in addition to the fact that it takes up space on the dock.
While it does save some steps for certain Mac operations, the ultimate utility of Functional for Mac to most users is limited. If you really feel that you need quicker access to certain basic functions on your Mac, Functional for Mac gets the job done.
