The team hosted the Royal Bank Cup in 2004 averaging almost 2,800 fans per game and recognized a profit of over $300,000 from the national event.The Storm is proud of its commitment to the community and players offering programs that benefit the Grande Prairie area and provides scholarship funds for all players who wish to attend Grande Prairie Regional College during their time with the team. A large majority of players who have played with the team have received scholarships at Canadian and American post-secondary institutions.
