Description
spatial overlap assessor is developed as an accessible tool that can help you evaluate the spatial overlap of two groups of individuals based on pair wise spatial distances. It was used in a population genetic study to reveal and quantify differences in the spatial overlap of two mouse lemur species in different habitats. It calculates the average number of individuals assigned to group 1/2 within a defined number of nearest neighbors. The resulting values indicate the degree of spatial overlap of the two different groups.
