What is the Chamber of Commerce?The Katy Area Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary organization of business and professional men and women who have joined together to build and enhance an outstanding quality of life for our community.We create a climate for success and growth in the Katy community.The community's business development is directly related to the caliber of work that is done by the Chamber. The Katy Area Chamber has a major impact on business, income and future growth of the area.The primary functions of the Chamber of Commerce: (1) it acts as spokesman for the business and professional community and translates into action the cumulative vision of its members, and (2) it delivers specific services to enhance the quality of life and business development opportunities for both our members and the community as a whole.Objectives of the ChamberTo promote a better understanding of the importance of strategically enhancing the business development opportunities within our community.To coordinate the efforts of commerce, industry and professionals in maintaining and strengthening a sound and healthy business climate in the Katy Area.To sponsor progressive programs of work and stimulate activities that will provide for full development and employment of our human and economic resources.To provide creative business leadership and effective coordination of all interested parties in solving community problems and in initiating constructive community action.To create broad understanding and appreciation of the great opportunities in the Katy area, and to promote the advantages and assets of our cowithin the area, in the state, and in the world.
