Somebody works best when there are many users in a given area. For example, colleges, workplaces, parties and concerts can all become hotspots for Somebody simply by designating themselves as one (official hotspots are listed on somebodyapp.com). The more users there are in an area using the app, the more likely it is that someone nearby will be able to deliver your message.

But what makes Somebody truly unique isn't its programming – it's the users themselves who make this app so special. By daring to deliver messages on behalf of strangers, they become part of an art project that incites performance and twists our love of avatars and outsourcing.
