Initial version of Watch app to make available selected sailboat instrument features on your wrist via an Apple Watch. Relevant activities before the start signal (set pin and committee boat locations to define start line, set countdown timer and sync to committee boat time.) Also includes ability to create waypoints on companion iPhone app (click on the map) and download waypoints to the watch for "GoTo" navigation during the race. The iPhone app includes views of what the watch will display, in case you don't have a watch.
This application is NOT intended to replace GPS or other key navigational functions and should not be relied on as the sole source of navigational information.
USER TIP: The GPS accuracy of the Apple Watch is low. It is strongly recommended to use the Watch application in range of a paired (and properly waterproofed) iPhone, so the GPS positioning data can be enhanced by the paired iPhone for much greater accuracy.
This is the initial version of the application. Very interested in feedback and suggestions.
