Description
This application offers an easy and accurate formula for determining the settlement of a rectangular shaped raft foundation. Using this formula, one can calculate the settlement at the centre and at the corner of the raft. These locations are illustrated in the figure below. The formula is also capable of calculating the differential settlement of the raft. The formula was derived from the regression analyses of finite element modelling results. Further information can be reached at Hamderi, 2019. The formula requires 16 input parameters. The description and the input procedure of these parameters are given in the following steps.
