Description

Pilot Display is the iOS companion application for the Churchill Navigation ARS system. Pilot Display is designed to be viewed by the pilot to provide a navigational aid when flying to a location, a point of interest or a search pattern. The application can also be used by any passengers or crew who may be interested in information about the aircraft, the camera gimbal or viewing one of up to three available live video channels.Pilot Display allows users to view high-quality, low-latency video provided by ARS on your iOS device:Pilot Display supports live streaming video for up to three channels! You can conveniently view what the cameras are recording or what the ARS screen is displaying all in real-time. The video streams are usually provided by one or two aircraft cameras in addition to a live ARS screen view. In cases of sub-optimal network connections a user configurable network buffer can be enabled to help increase video quality.Video can be turned On or Off at any time and viewed in three different layouts:- Thumbnail Video- Full Screen Video- Full Screen Video with OverlaysPilot Display provides lots of data overlays and supports four different information modes. Over 20 different data fields are available!Gimbal Mode is provides information about the gimbal and camera:- Aircraft absolute heading- Camera Field of View- Camera Slant Range- Camera Target Absolute Heading- Camera Target Relative Heading- Camera Elevation Absolute AngleMarker Mode provides information about a specific point of interest in addition to all of the Gimbal Mode information:- Marker Address- Marker Absolute Heading- Marker Relative Heading- Marker Estimated Time to Arrival- Marker Estimated Time Enroute- Marker Distance- Marker Ground Distance- Aircraft Altitude- Aircraft SpeedVehicle Follow Mode provides information about a search pattern in addition to all of the Gimbal Mode and Marker Mode information:- Search Pattern Offset helps to keep the aircraft on target for a successful mission- Next Waypoint Estimated Time To Arrival- Next Waypoint Estimated Time Enroute- Distance Remaining in Search Pattern- Distance Completed in Search Pattern- Offset from Search PatternCamera Follow Mode provides information about a camera search pattern including all information from Gimbal, Marker and Vehicle Follow Modes with the exception of Offset from Search Pattern.All fields are user reconfigurable - just tap and select to customize your layout! You can even select the color of the text to your preference. All fields can be viewed in Imperial or Metric units.Your ARS system will need to be configured to use a WIFI access point.
