TRAPP is a tool to assess security risks at facilities and provide recommendations for protective measures and risk mitigation. The methods in TRAPP have been applied world-wide to a full range of infrastructure types. Many users have found that the risk plot (found on the Assessment screen) is effective in communicating risks to non-security managers.Each TRAPP analysis is focused on a facility and an attack tactic. Users should remain focused on that facility and tactic during the analysis. Four critical factors (difficulty, ease of access, attractiveness and consequences) are used in the risk assessment. TRAPP-Pro includes a wider range of methods for the assessment of these four factors. TRAPP solves and stores multiple cases for later analysis.
