Description
In order to comply with the UKs Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) for small scale Solar PV installation, installers have to estimate the effect that shading, caused by nearby and distant objects, has on the performance of the installation. EPiShade is a FREE app which allows you to record the locations of shading objects and display the results on a diagram as specified in the MCS standards. The shading factor which is used in the calculation to estimate the energy produced by the installation is also calculated. The results of this survey can be uploaded directly to EPiSolar and included in the documentation given to the customer to demonstrate MCS compliance.
