Description
RIPALog makes it easy for law enforcement officers to record their
observations of the racial and identity information for citizens they
encounter during a stop. No personal information about the person you stop
is collected, only your observation of age, race, gender, and more.
The app was designed to satisfy the requirements of California Assembly Bill
953 (AB 953). This legislation requires the collection of over 40 data items.
RIPALog uses a wizard-style interface to minimize your data entry
dramatically lowering the time required to comply with the law.
The app ensures that the collected data meets the format requirements of
the California Department of Justice. RIPALog submits all data to the CA DOJ
on the frequency specified by your agency. No IT time or resources required.
Low monthly cost per officer/user. Sign-up today to show your community
you are pro-actively monitoring profiling data.
Although designed for California, the RIPALog app is flexible enough to
satisfy the needs of any law enforcement agency interested in collecting this
data. The Agency Portal provides graphical representations of the data
collected, and allows command staff to review and approve (or configure
auto-approve) stop logs submitted by officers using the app. Command staff
can use the graphs to recognize training opportunities.
To use the app your agency must first create an account for you using the
RIPALog Agency Portal. Once your account is configured, the portal will
email you the information you need to register your app and connect to the
service.
