Description
NASOCOBAL is an Original Research product of Troikaa Pharmaceuticals Limited. It is the World's First Nasal Drug Delivery of Methylcobalamin (the biologically active form of vitamin B12). NASOCOBAL provides assured absorption of Methylcobalamin from the nasal mucosa directly into the bloodstream and thereby, rapidly corrects deficiency of vitamin B12. NASOCOBAL is the only approved Methylcobalamin Nasal Spray, clinically proven to increase and maintain healthy vitamin B12 levels.
Absorption of vitamin B12 from tablet/capsule is highly variable & hence, tablets of vitamin B12 do not provide a predictable increase of vitamin B12 in the body, even upon long term administration. This makes it necessary to administer vitamin B12 injections to treat the deficiency. However, vitamin B12 injections are very painful and require frequent visits to a clinic. In contrast, NASOCOBAL offers a painless, reliable & easy to administer alternative to a tablet, capsule and injections.
NASOCOBAL contains 500 mcg Methylcobalamin in 0.1 ml. It is available in a 2.3 ml amber colored glass bottle with an actuated spray device for ease of dosage administration. After initial priming, each spray delivers 250 mcg (0.05 ml) of Methylcobalamin with a total of 46 sprays of Methylcobalamin nasal spray. One dose of NASOCOBAL comprises 2 sprays (500 mcg) i.e. 1 spray (250 mcg) in each nostril.
