Description
Cookie Monster II places a small cookie next to your computer's clock and whenever you wish to delete your cookies or cache simply right-click the cookie and select from the menu. You also can manage your cookies (only deleting the ones you don't want).
Review
This freebie helps you quickly erase some aspects of your Web-surfing traces, but its powers are clearly limited. Cookie Monster II's interface is basically a system-tray icon that allows you to get rid of cached Internet Explorer files and cookies via a simple right-click. But the program can't even delete typed URLs, so you'll still have to access IE's built-in privacy tools to be truly protected. The application lacks a whitelist for cookies, though you can choose to only erase certain ones via a list. But unlike full-featured privacy suites, this one doesn't support the cleaning of alternative browsers or third-party apps, and it cannot shred files. New users might benefit somewhat from Cookie Monster II, but most other folks should stick with a more robust program.
