Formitecho Diary

Woefully underpowered and absurdly overpriced, Formitecho Information Technology Diary is little better than a paper notebook, and it goes for 10 times the price. Its one good point is that it can store entries of unlimited length. However, the interface is a shambles. The main window displays entries in an ugly gray table beneath an ugly gray calendar, neither of which works the way it should. You can't sort the table by clicking column headers. Clicking a date on the calendar doesn't call up entries from that day. The weak Search function only scans an entry's date, time, and subject fields, not its body text. Nor, incredibly, can it search multiple dates at once. The program lacks even basic virtual-diary features such as password protection and voice recording. There is no help file. Given all that, the $30 price is outrageous. Instead, check out one of the many free or low-cost virtual diaries that offer far more useful features.
