Screensaver Protein Builder

Description

The Protein Builder Screensaver is part of the Distributed Folding Project, an experiment in distributed computing through the Internet to help solve the Protein Folding Problem, one of the computationally intensive problems facing scientists of the 21st century. The program probabilistically generates protein structures, and uploads them to our server every once in a while. A colorful protein will build itself up on your screen as the program generates structures so you can see how many you have made and how fast it is progressing. When you want to use your computer again, simply move the mouse or hit a key.
