Description
EZip Wizard is an easy-to-use compression utility with a familiar wizard-based interface. The application is free for unzipping files. You can create, update, and decompress any ZIP file; and automatically send ZIP files using your MAPI-compliant or Internet e-mail system. You also can uninstall the results of any unzip operation, and you have the option to delete the original ZIP file. This update adds enhancements to the compression feature.
Review
Though it offers little new functionality this program easily zips and unzips files using a wizard interface. Unzipping the file is then a matter of answering eZip Wizard's questions: which files to extract from the zip file, where to put them, delete the original zip, and create an uninstall script. It's the last function that makes eZip a better choice than Windows standard unzip functionality. The uninstall script helps novice users quickly remove the unzipped files. Zipping a file or directory is easy with this program. Users follow a series of dialog boxes to add files, force unzip directory structures, and add a intro message or password to the final zipped file. eZip Wizard includes a function to split large files into a chosen number of subfiles. The program automatically creates a batch file to consolidate the split file. After the trial period ends eZip Wizard continues to function as a file unzipper. We found the program useful for novices, but the question and answer structure is limiting for advanced users.
