Description
Kopassa browser is using thumbnail-based technology for Web browsing experience. It allows the browsing of multiple pages, support natively up to 27 specialized search engines, translation of Web sites and texts, dictionaries, alias manager, scrapbook to quickly store and arrange multimedia components, download manager, cookie manager, block pop-up, etc. Kopassa's ultimate goal is to ally powerful and easy searching mechanism with the ability to manipulate and work with the resulting information.
Review
The browser built on the Internet Explorer engine impressed us neither with its interface nor with functionality. For viewing several sites inside one window, Kopassa Browser uses thumbnails instead of tabs. This approach takes some useful space but allows users to quicker find needed pages. On the minus side, we didn t like Kopassa s unintelligible button icons. Kopassa Browser yield in functionality to other alternative browsers. The pop-up blocker wasn t very efficient in our tests. The search bar is not very convenient and flexible. We found no utilities for managing downloads and working with several proxy servers. Overall, one can easily find better alternative browsers.
