The eClickz Toolbar increases your ability to find information from anywhere on the Web, and it takes only seconds to install. You can quickly and easily use eClickz to search from any Web site without returning to the eClickz home page to begin another search. eClickz Toolbar also has features that allow users to search from multiple engines including Yahoo, Google, MSN, and DMOZ; to launch external applications; to swap skins; and to highlight search terms as they appear on the page.
Review
This free utility is basically a watered-down version of Google's popular toolbar. The eClickz Toolbar's main function is to provide quick access to the eClickz search engine. But in our tests, trolling eClickz by entering several common keywords provided a rather small number of results when compared to more capable competitors. The program's built-in pop-up blocker did a decent job with standard ads, but didn't fare well with floating or Flash ads. The toolbar also lets you zoom in or out on a page, highlight keywords onscreen, quickly access a dictionary and thesaurus, and wipe traces of your Web-surfing history. This program makes a sensible download for regular users of the eClickz search engine, but most everyday Web surfers won't be as impressed.
