Description
Sunny Pakman is a version of the classic Pac-Man. You collect items in the maze, avoid bugs, and get points. The game features more than 130 levels and there is support for one and/or two players. The game also features a long, and still growing, list of pickups, a level browser, high-quality sound effects, and online registration and activation within minutes. Quick reflexes are a must if you want to complete all levels. There is joystick, gamepad, mouse, and keyboard support.
Review
Though it places a few twists on the classic Pac-Man concept, we re not sure this game improves upon the original. After launching Sunny Pakman, we immediately noticed there were insects chasing us, rather than ghosts. While navigating the maze to munch all the dots, we eventually discovered there are no power pills you can swallow to kill your enemies, so you just have to avoid them as best as you can. We also weren t sure if this game has a unified goal; on one level, we had to eat all the dots to move on, while another let us advance after we found a key. Graphically, Sunny Pakman is rather unpolished, and you can t choose to disable the music or customize the game in any way. If you ve played every Pac-Man remake known to man, it won t hurt to try this one, but most folks probably won t stay entertained for long.
