Description
DreamScreenMaker software helps create screensavers. It is easy to use, with icons and a wizard. The advantages of the program include a friendly end-user interface, the ability to quickly create screensavers, the ability to display a realized screensaver at any moment, and the abilty to directly send by e-mail. The application also features template management to keep and retrieve your arrangements; patterns management for border or background; and the ability to add user patterns.
Review
This well-designed screensaver-creation tool offers some nice pluses, but omits several key features. DreamScreenMaker's elegant interface not only provides help via a wizard, but it also features clearly labeled buttons for every part of the design process. After selecting your photos, you can choose to rotate or crop them, make color adjustments, and add up to five layered captions per scene. We also appreciated the inclusion of 50 templates for adding borders to our shots, though we found the number of transition effects rather paltry in comparison to some other applications we've seen. Strangely, DreamScreenMaker won't let you add a soundtrack to your show, a fairly serious omission we find hard to overlook. Still, we're glad this program can share your creation via the Web or e-mail, in addition to letting you create an SCR file for use on your own machine. This utility doesn't make a bad pick for making basic slide shows, but more powerful options are at your disposal.
