Description
A powerful and highly configurable utility that converts plain text files into rich text (RTF). Based on the same highly praised text analysis engine as AscToHTM, it recognizes headings, bullets, indentation levels, tables, and much more. Full table generation is attempted on detected tables, and you can define how you want each table laid out. Hyperlinks can be added to section numbers, URLs, e-mail addresses, etc. AscToRTF recognizes headings, and these are marked up in Heading styles, allowing Word to incorporate them into a TOC. The user can choose the fonts, title, keywords.
It can create RTF files suitable for conversion into WinHelp files. Wildcards are supported. Registered users get access to a console version that is better suited for batch conversions. An API version is available and sold under separate license, contact us for details. A great time saver for novice and expert alike.
Review
The program is a simple application aimed to convert plain text files into the RTF format. When launching the AscToRTF you need to choose the language for the interface. The conversion is an easy task and all you have to do is to select a file, specify the output file name and destination folder, and hold the conversion itself. All the process is shown in the special table and after it is over the program automatically opens the converted file in the Microsoft Word. However, if carrying out batch conversion the program will open only one file though converting all the tasked ones. The program is fast and simple so it can be a good choice for everyone.
