Description
JP2view is a low-cost, easy to use viewer software, allowing compression of image data into JPEG2000 file format. It allows the compression and decompression of images (e.g. *.bmp, *.jpg) into the new worldwide standard image file format JPEG2000 (*.jp2) and other general purpose image formats as the old JPEG or Windows Bitmap. The new JP2 standard implementation provides smaller file sizes while maintaining high image quality compared to the existing JPEG standard. JP2view allows loss-less compression (no quality loss) as well as high compression ratios up to 100:1 and above. Other features are Drag and Drop of multiple image files into the viewer, Zoom in and Zoom out, different Window display modes (cascade, tile horizontally, tile vertically), image information in windows title bar (filename, image size, bit depth, compression ratio and filesize), current image information in status bar (Mouse position, pixel value (RGB) and zoom factor).
