Description

Strength &Honor is a real-time and turn-based strategy game from Magitech. The game takes place in ancient times and features two distinct modes. In world mode, players can build empires, engage in politics, and create alliances with other nations. In battle mode, players can conquer new territories and defend their land against invading forces.

This demo includes the entire Queen of the Nile campaign and three battles from the game.

Review

Editor review

A game as complex as Strength & Honor needs a tutorial or at least a set of help files. We found neither, not the game itself, and not in the game s folder. That's a major fault, which hurts the rating of this otherwise impressive game. You control one of about 20 historical nations in the times of Cleopatra and Julius Caesar, including China, India, Persia, and many other much smaller countries. As in Rome: Total War, you govern cities in which you set the tax rate, maintain the happiness of population, build improvements, train armies, and recruit generals. When your troops clash with a hostile army, you can jump into the real-time battles yourself or have the computer act as general. The impressive, if not eye-popping, 3D graphics include realistic weather effects. The demo comes with one campaign and three historical battles, all of which should engross patient strategy buffs who can do without a proper manual.
