Description

Import originals : iPhoto allows easy import of photos from disks. But if these pictures have been modified, you have to choose to import the modified or the original version. This forces you to keep originals outside iPhoto (double management), or else import originals and redo modifications (!). This script addresses this issue.

Export as links : If, as I do, you often need to use your image files with other applications or using scripts, you probably suffered from the so controversial file organization of iPhoto. This was a reason for not to use it. Using this script, you can export selected pictures from iPhoto, but they are linked rather than copied. There is no disk space waste, nor disparity between copies. Thus it is possible to organise photos in hierarchical folders, as you wish, while keeping the iPhoto library intact.

Export as zip : A rather simple script, on the request from one user, to export a set of photos in a zip archive. To attach to an e-mail for example. Image files are not copied in a temporary folder but compressed "on the fly" and added to the selected archive file. If this file already exists, it is not replaced, as the standard dialog messages can suggest, but modified to add current images to the archive. This allows to build an archive in several successive runs.

The Readme/Usage are in script comments, you can open it with standard Apple application "Script Editor".

This "Manual" is also on the web site.
