Description
Bypass Proxy Client is the complete online privacy tool. Put an end to blocking filters, firewalls, and proxies. Turn any browser into a discreet tool for safe and secure private viewing. Protect all data traffic from Internet snooping. This 100% Java client supports most Internet protocols plus SOCKS4 and SOCKS5 networking. In addition, the client allows for direct network tunneling with an exclusive proxy-tunneling feature. Surf, chat, read news boards, and get your e-mail from anywhere. Supports most OSes and works with standard HTTP and SOCKS proxy servers.
Review
Stuck behind a firewall? Bypass Proxy Client claims it can unblock any Internet application, whether it's a mail client, an instant messenger, or a P2P program. Although that sounds compelling, Bypass Proxy Client disappointed us on most counts. It's very difficult to configure. You need to set up each port and application separately, whereas other SOCKS clients only require you to enter a proxy address. On the plus side, you won't have to search for a proxy server; however, the free subscription limits your bandwidth, making Bypass Proxy Client appropriate only for use with instant messengers and mail clients. You can easily find more attractive options for secure surfing.
