Review
Though its features are few, this timesaving tool lets you select the printer you need with less hassle than the usual menu-by-menu method. Active Printer lacks a dedicated interface, but configurations are easily accessible from the system tray. The program automatically detects the active printers connected to your PC and lists them on the tray menu and on an optional floating bar situated on your desktop. The bar contains resizable printer icons with adjustable opacity levels, and conveniently marks the currently selected printer with a check mark. Just hover the mouse pointer over the icons to identify each and simply click your choice. Anyone can benefit from using Active Printer, although larger print houses won't be able to monitor printer usage or track print jobs. That being said, individuals and companies with a few print jobs to trail will love the convenience of this one.
