Review
Controlling your kids' PC use is simple with this fundamental scheduling application, though it lacks flexibility. While its interface is dull, Win Nanny lets you easily create user accounts and allot color-coded blocks of accessible time per user. Of course, only the administrator account can change or override time restrictions but only in hour increments. Operating in stealth mode, Win Nanny loads at system start-up, prompting the user for their given password to begin. When it's outside the users' allotted time, an access-restricted window is displayed. Unfortunately, Win Nanny doesn't grant or restrict access to specific programs or sites as do many of its competitors. Though you can't supervise what your kids are doing, this scheduling utility works well for parents simply needing to manage overall computer use.
