Description
Easy Video Capture is a tool for recording your screen activities into AVI video in real time. It supports recording video, audio, and the mouse cursor. You can use it to record DVD, RM, VCD, or other video media into AVI format. You also can use it to make a slide-show training video. You may change the options for recording, add text to video, record video with audio, choose to record the mouse cursor (or not), and make the area border blink when you're recording.
Version 1.3 may feature enhancements, improvements, or bug fixes.
Review
This program makes capturing screenshots of PC activities a hassle-free affair, although it has a few shortcomings. Easy Video Capture's main window isn't tough to comprehend, and we appreciate that basic recording functions can be performed via hot keys. Still, we wished the program could record clips in a format other than AVI. You can not only set audio and video quality, you also can decide what area of the screen you want to capture and then disable the cursor from appearing in your clip. The full version lets you annotate your clips with captions, although the trial version won't let you access that feature. If you're using an older computer, be forewarned that Easy Video Capture may take a toll on your PC's performance, though we had no problems when using a standard machine. Desktop-support specialists and computer instructors will like this program's no-nonsense approach.
