Review
In light of its many competitors, this solitaire game offers too little to be anything more than an average choice. While many solitaire programs we ve tested let you play hundreds of games, Classic Solitaire provides less than 20. To make matter worse, the demo only will let you play five of them, including Klondike, Freecell, and Pyramid. While the application s graphics don t look bad, the audio effects are nonexistent. The game keeps statistics and gives brief instructions for each solitaire variation, but beginners will miss in-depth tutorials. We found the program s feature set quite small; you can t even change the style of the cards or the background color of the main window. Undemanding users might not mind Classic Solitaire's limitations, but true devotees of the game will need to find another download.
