Description

MakePDF for Word is an alternative to converting Word documents to PDF files without Adobe Acrobat. It retains the original document as well. Features include 128-bit file encryption; the conversion of active hyperlinks, including URLs, bookmarks, tables of contents, index entries, and cross-references; PDF launch capability after the completion of the MakePDF process; a specified output directory; and PDF table-of-content creation based on styles or TC field markings. MakePDF for Word also provides concatenate multiple PDF files; automatically appends the date, time, and version to the PDF filename; has full and partial font-embedding options; lets you set PDF properties based on Word document properties; linearizes for fast Web downloads; and has Quiet and Bulk options. The program is also available in Spanish and French.

Version 5.8 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Here's a quick and easy way to transform Word documents into PDF format. MakePDF installs as a menu option in Microsoft Word. Under the Options feature, the program offers a number of ways to manipulate your document, by changing the size or the format of images or the font, creating watermarks, and viewing hyperlinks and page dimensions. In addition to translating files from DOC to PDF, MakePDF also can merge files, perform batch conversions, and encrypt files. All the program features performed flawlessly during our testing. Overall, MakePDF for Word is a good utility for PDF conversion.
