Review
Despite a few limitations, Recipe Manager has some nice features to organize your recipe collection. Navigation is easy with the well-designed interface. You can choose to view a list of all recipes or only those from a particular cuisine or category, and the search tools are simple and effective. Select an individual recipe to view tabs displaying ingredients, directions, and other information, or view the more appealing HTML format, which also is used for printing. Although less than 20 recipes are included, they're a nice mix of healthful dishes with nutrition information. A wizard makes it easy to add recipes and nutritional information, and sort them into categories. Recipe Manager also includes an extensive database of nutritional information for both brand and nonbrand foods. The only downside is that import and export is restricted to one file type. Any health-conscious cook will appreciate what this freeware recipe organizer offers.
