Description

Have you ever wanted to have certain programs load automatically when you turn on your computer? Traditionally, you would have to edit the Windows Registry or go through numerous menus and selections to set up a program to start when you turn on your computer. With Auto Loader, all you have to do is select the program that you want to automatically start. Every time you turn on or your reboot your computer, the programs you've selected will start. Version 1.1 includes unspecified updates.

Editor review

Although this program effectively eliminates the need to fiddle with the registry to automatically run an application, a few amenities are missing. Auto Loader's main dialog is rather bland, displaying a blank window in which you can browse, select, and insert your programs. After a system reboot, this application successfully launched each program we listed for start-up. Though we appreciate the ability to select programs for startup without having to toy with the registry, a registry scan feature to at least determine the current start-up applications is necessary, yet omitted. Drag-and-drop functioning as well as a scheduler to launch and close programs at specific times are also left out of Auto Loader's short list of operatives. Though this program is pretty skimpy on features, some users looking to bypass registry configurations to handle start-ups may like its straight-shooter approach.
