Description
This program is for the person who likes to listen to music while sitting nearby, and not have to worry about the computer running all night, if he or she falls asleep. Simply open the program, enter the amount of hours you wish the program to wait until turning off, and click start. You may use your computer while the program functions, then walk away, and let it shut off when you specify.
Review
This utility allows you to automate shutdown of your computer, but that's the only feature it offers. The simple interface has a box to input hours until shutdown, and three buttons for start, canceling, and quitting. Barry's Sleep Timer gives you a 30-second warning to allow you to save any opened file or process before your PC shuts down. Unfortunately, you can't input a shutdown time of less than one hour or password-protect the program, which would make it a feasible option for child control. To make matters worse, the application only runs on Windows XP. This freeware utility is suitable for users of all skill levels but isn't likely to knock anyone out.
