Xolox

Description

We kept XoloX as simple as possible. We don't like to bother the user with configuration questions or a complex interface. The interface only has a limited set of features (a sorting-mechanism, a progress indicator, etc.). This makes XoloX the ideal client for inexperienced users (but also less interesting for people who like to tweak an application). Besides a simple and clear interface we also implemented an intelligent download manager that will save you a lot of time. Once a download is started, you can walk away and let XoloX take care of it!

XoloX is aimed at users who want to download many (large) files through a (high speed) internet connection. Therefore our application is able to run stable for many hours. Whenever you start a download its speed may vary (depending on the number of hosts), but chances are good you'll receive the file eventually. XoloX just keeps trying, over and over again! And whenever your computer crashes (or somebody else's!), don't worry! Upon reboot XoloX takes off just where you were.

XoloX works with segmented downloads (downloading a single file simultaneously from multiple hosts). This feature enables you to get the most out of your high speed internet connection, as your downloading speed is not limited by the speed of the uploading party. As long as you have got bandwidth left, new connections are made with new computers to speed up your download.
