Pac-Man and BomberMan were the great gaming hits of the 80s and if you enjoyed playing them, you will definitely fall in love with PacBomber. This game is a modern remake of the popular classic games Pac-Man and Bomberman with several worlds and levels, beautiful graphics and sound effects, bonus items, and teleports and offscreen tunnels.
The objective of the game is simple but certainly not easy. You have to clear each level of all dots while avoiding hazardous encounters with the evil monsters. Once the level is cleared of all dots, you proceed to the next level. While playing, you will be able to collect bonuses that help you to survive in the dangerous labyrinths filled with bloodthirsty creatures. Version 1.7.2 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
Review
Die-hard Pac-Man fans will appreciate the extras in this version of the venerable game. PacBomber is Pac-Man with power-ups. You still navigate mazelike courses, trying to eat the blue dots while avoiding the ghosts, but you also can get power-ups that let you drop bombs, move faster, and carry a shield. The program's more advanced levels include teleporters. The game plays very much like the original Pac-Man, although the bombs give you some extra strategy options. The new version's graphics seem improved from past iterations, but they're still not likely to blow anyone's mind. Although PacBomber's gameplay isn't substantially different from Pac-Man, devotees of the original might want to give it a go.
