Description
Fox Screen Capture is a professional and powerful screenshot-capturing program. Fox Screen Capture supports the ability to capture by windows, buttons, objects, active window, full screen, desktop, rectangle, square, fixed region, circle, oval, rounded rectangle, and rounded square. The application supports saving from more than 10 graphics formats, including the most popular BMP, JPEG, GIF, PNG, TIFF, and ICO. It also supports converting graphics formats from one to another in batch mode with a built-in batch-conversion tool. Fox Screen Captures supports more than 60 of the most used effects and filters including soften, sharpen, contrast, and lightness. Pick any color from the screen with a built-in color-picker. Add a border to a image, add a shadow to a image, rotate an image, and resize an image. Support hot-keys capturing and hiding/showing window.
Version 4.0 upgrades ColorPicker.
Review
Modest functionality and an inconvenient interface prevent Fox Screen Capture from being a more compelling option. The program s limited screenshot capabilities will disappoint those with sophisticated demands. For instance, you can't take several screenshots in a row without displaying the program window (a must if you're taking shots of a full-screen game). Program menus can't be captured, nor can long documents and Web pages that require scrolling. On the other hand, if visual effects are your priority, you can resize, flip, and add a shadow here, and even apply a myriad of filters, such as mosaic, emboss, and wind. We appreciate the two-month trial period, which seems more than generous. All things considered, Fox Screen Capture is probably most useful for artistic projects, rather than utilitarian purposes.
