Description
Clean Ram designed to clean up your computer RAM from unnecessary memory allocation. This free software will improve overall performance of your PC. Loading and running any applications (word processor, spreadsheet, graphics editor, Web browser) will be smoother and faster than before. It is very simple to use. No training and very minimum user intervention required.
Review
Like other programs of its ilk, Clean Ram attempts to boost system performance by reclaiming memory that's no longer in use. This supposedly speeds up everything from launching programs to saving documents to performing complex tasks such as 3D rendering. However, as any knowledgable authority will tell you, Windows 2000 and XP clean up memory pretty well already. We certainly saw no benefit from using Clean Ram. Performance slowed down a bit during the cleaning process but rose to its usual level afterward. The only positive was that we didn't encounter stability problems, even when we tried to free all the memory we had. A weaker machine with an older, less efficient operating system might have shown marked improvement, but probably not. We'd file this one under
