Description
Take back control of your computer with MarZerUI, a small utility that allows you to keep links to everything you regularly use (programs, websites etc). On call using a global hotkey, simply call up MarZerUI and click the link you want. MarZerUI has some powerful functions allowing you to configure the way it looks. You can put it into "Auto-Mode", having it automatically fade in/out, dock it somewhere on the screen and make it always on top.
Version 1.1.8 increases speed and improves stability, adds a "Multiple" category type for different types of links in the one group.
Review
This small utility lets you organize your favorite Web sites, programs, files, and folders in a small window on your desktop, though it isn't as user-friendly as we'd hoped. MarZerUI positions a skinnable bar on your desktop for you to add links to your favorite programs, files, and folders. Although you're supposed to be able to dock the window anywhere on the desktop, this feature didn't work during our tests. Fortunately, you can adjust its transparency or simply hide it in your system tray until you need it. The program's interface is a bit jumbled, but you'll quickly get the hang of its processes. Adding new categories for quick shortcuts is easy: just click Add and go from there, though a drag-and-drop feature would be better. MarZerUI doesn't offer anything extraordinary, but it can bring all your favorite folders and programs under one umbrella, and, best of all, it's free.
