Description
Secrets Guard is software that password-protects and stores all the files and folders you want to keep private in an encrypted container. Secrets Guard has built-in profiles that allow accessing your private bookmarks, e-mails, history, and Internet cash only when you enter your password and decrypt the container. This means that with Secrets Guard you would never have to care about your privacy after you press the secure data button. Secrets Guard password-protects: folders, bookmarks, Internet history, browser cash, private e-mails, and passwords saved in browser.
Review
This program encrypts and hides data, but its performance is only so-so. SecretsGuard saves Internet Explorer history, files, URLs, and Favorites in an encrypted disk, which can only be viewed using the program's built-in viewing application. The program doesn't always work as it should, though. Sometimes surfing tracks aren't saved to the disk, and you have to manually save files for them to be hidden. The program needs at least 128MB of RAM to operate, and the encrypted disks take up the maximum disk space regardless of their contents. The interface, although simple, isn't intuitive and doesn't provide enough information for one to easily use the program. Only a 10-day trial is offered. This software is a promising privacy tool appropriate for intermediate or advanced users, but it doesn't quite deliver.
