Description
Safarp is a small and fast replacement for the Add or Remove Programs Control Panel applet. It displays a list of the installed programs and allows one to uninstall / repair them. Other features: search function, obsolete list entries removal, export program list to a file, accessibility via the Control Panel, Windows hotfixes can be hidden.
Version 0.5 adds support for the Quiet mode and Repair functions, "Frequency of use" and "Date last used" columns.
Review
The Windows Add/Remove Programs dialog displays a lot of information on installed applications including their size and frequency of use. However it may be very slow to load if there are numerous items in the list. Safarp doesn t add many new features to the Microsoft applet, it just focuses on the loading speed. In the Fast mode with Load icons option disabled, openeing the list of installed programs takes just a few seconds. The program can also remove entries from the list without actually unisntalling the programs. You can create an HTML report on installed applications. If you often set up and remove programs, Safarp is a good time-saver.
